Your data stays in your browser
Every Velofy calculator runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript that ships with the page. Your salary, loan amount, property value, deductions — none of it is sent to any server we operate. We do not have accounts, we do not have a database of users, and we cannot see what you calculate.
The Velofy site is static — HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images served from Cloudflare Pages. There is no backend application receiving form submissions. The only server-side log is the standard Cloudflare edge access log (IP address, requested URL, user-agent) which Cloudflare retains under their own privacy policy and which we do not query or export.
To make returning visits easier, some calculators write your last-entered income to
localStorage under a key starting with velofy_. This data lives only
on the device you used and is sent to no one. You can clear it any time via your browser's
site-data controls (Chrome: Settings → Privacy & Security → Site Settings → View permissions
and data stored across sites).
Velofy currently loads the Inter font from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com /
fonts.gstatic.com). Google may receive your IP address and user-agent in the
course of serving these font files. We are migrating to self-hosted fonts to remove this
third-party request.
Affiliate links to lenders, brokers, and tax-deduction product partners contain UTM parameters so partners can attribute the click. Once you leave Velofy through an affiliate link, the receiving site's privacy policy applies. We may receive a referral fee — this never changes the calculator output, which is based only on ATO, APRA, ASIC, RBA and Treasury data.
Velofy operates from Australia and complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Because the site does not collect personal information server-side, most APPs are addressed by the architecture itself rather than by procedural controls.
If you believe Velofy has handled your data in a way inconsistent with the APPs, contact us at [email protected]. You can also complain directly to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Velofy provides general information only — not financial product advice under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). Velofy does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL). Calculations are illustrative and use publicly available ATO, APRA, ASIC, RBA and Treasury data. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Minor edits (typos, link fixes) may be made without bumping the date.
